Crochet circle calculator

Turn a blocked diameter and measured gauge into a flat-circle plan with a final edge count and target for every round.

How this tool works

The calculator converts radius into whole rounds, converts circumference into edge stitches and distributes the required growth from the entered starting ring to the final round.

Example calculation

A 20 cm circle at 2 edge stitches and 1 round per cm uses about 10 rounds and finishes near 126 edge stitches from a 6-stitch ring.

Frequently asked questions

Does it tell me where to place every increase?

It gives the total change and target for each round. Spread increases evenly and move their positions when needed to prevent visible corners.

What if the circle cups or ripples?

Cupping usually needs more increases; rippling usually needs fewer. Treat the targets as checkpoints and respond to the actual fabric.
