How this tool works
The calculator converts maximum circumference into stitches, uses whole rounds for the upper cap, adds a straight section when height exceeds diameter and mirrors the lower decreases.
Example calculation
A 10 × 14 cm capsule at 2 stitches and 2 rounds per cm reaches about 63 stitches, with 10 increase, 8 straight and 10 decrease rounds.
Frequently asked questions
Can it design a face or animal body?
It provides a symmetric base form. Muzzles, eye shaping, limbs, color changes and asymmetry still need pattern-specific design.
When should I add stuffing and safety eyes?
Install fixed features before the opening becomes too small, then stuff gradually through the decrease section while checking symmetry.
