How the calculation works
Swatch consumption is scaled to scarf width and length. Fringe or border yarn is added separately so finishing does not disappear inside the safety reserve.
Worked example
A 25 × 180 cm scarf with a 5% fringe allowance adds finishing yarn equal to 225 cm² of the measured fabric consumption.
